Restaurant name: Hunan Garden
Restaurant address: 13/F Time Square, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

Anna's comment: The only Hunan cuisine restaurant in Hong Kong. Its main shop is at Exchange Square in Central. Some of the dishes are similar to Beijing and Shanghai. Somewhat a high-end restaurant, price-wise.

Hunan Fried Chicken in Chilli Sauce 左宗棠鷄
Signature Hunan dish. Extremely hot and spicy.
Spicy gravy can be served separately upon request.
Fish Fillets with Fried Minced Bean 洞庭豆酥魚
Terribly lousy presentation, if you compare with the photo on the menu.
Why does two cubes of fish need such a big dish?

Pan Fried Cake with Spring Onion 彭姐家常煎餅

Tam's Noodles with Shredded Pork &
Assorted Vegetables in Spicy Soup

瓷盅譚家面
This looks completely different from the photo on the menu

Walnut Cream with Glutinous Rice Dumplings
湘岳核桃露含沙丸子
Lousy presentation, only luke warm.
Again, why is a big bowl needed for small content?

Restaurant name: Tanyoto Restaurant Hong Kong Branch
Restaurant address: 129-135 Johonston Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong

Anna's comment: This is my favourite restaurant for Sichuan food. The foods here are excitingly hot and spicy. They’ll even make you cry. Tan’s Fish Head – as its Chinese name denotes, its signature dish is Sichuan spicy fish head hot pot. Some Cantonese dim sum is added to the menu in order to please the great Cantonese population in Hong Kong.
